"Construction"

Construction has started on the new house.  Right now it just looks like they are pushing dirt from one side of hte lot to the other.  It is exciting to know that things are under way though.

Sweet Skye

I wish I could still post pictures of Sweet Maisie, but Skye will have to do instead.   When I got to see Maisie the last time I had wanted so much to get a portrait made of her with Skye.  My daughter objected so we just got pictures of Maisie made.  Skye has lost that puppy look now.  She was just spayed last weekend but is none the worse for wear.  I snapped this picture yesterday in the midst of her getting into trouble.

Valentine's Weekend

On Christmas Eve when we set out for DFW it looked sort of like this---and it took us two days to get there.  The snowflakes were big, so I was beginning to have doubts about how long it would take us to get there this time.  Jeff and Renie, who we met on the cruise, invited us to go to Marriage Today at their church.

The snowflakes in our backyard.

Looking out the front door.

The roads were all clear--snow everywhere but none on the road.

Jeff and Renie had measured 18 inches of snow right after it fell.

Thge Marriage Today seminar was wonderful.  Jimmy and Karen Evans are the founders and speakers.  They have so many good ideas for every marriage--no matter how long you have been married. They are Christain marriage counselors.
Jim had trouble keeping  up with everyone and took a long snooze on Saturday.

Zsa Zsa was not too crazy about having "strangers" in the house--
but she even gave us the family group sign of a lifted tail before we left--
so I guess we passed the test.

Jeff and Renie with Pshau, and Precious--Renie is not really wearing a hat--that is Precious, her Maltese.
Zsa Zsa, watching all the action. We also went to see Tuna Does Las Vegas.
SOO Funny!!  Afterwards we went to a Mexican restaurant with
Renie and Jeff's daughters and their families.I couldn't help but think how fun it would
have been if I could have invited Erin and her family.
Adam doesn't allow us to see Erin or Maisie.
