The Work in Progress

This is the newest quilt I am working on.  It is called Cowgirl's closet.  The pattern is by
http://www.e-prairiegirls.com/
The jeans are hanging in the closet on hangers and the two pairs of boots are in the closet below. I am going to modify it and put a tiny little pair of baby boots in the middle in either pink or blue--for my cousin's first grandchild.  There will be a mitered border that will go all the way around it.  So far just putting it together has been a real challenge--cutting out the appliques and getting them all sewed on.  This one, might have actually been easier to do by hand--and if it doesn't turn out like I want it to, I might indeed do it over by hand--and just keep this one for reference--so far so good though.

Quilts

The Wine and Chocolate Quilt for the Parkinson's Auction

The Wine and Chocolate Event at the Winery for the Parkinson's Foundation was a big success. My quilt sold at the auction for $100.  I was thrilled since it is the throw quilt size.  This is one of my favorite quilt patterns, I have made so many off of this pattern I think I need to retire it--at least for awhile!
A friends's child is expecting her first baby.  I made this Monkey quilt for her.  I still have to work on the monkey's noses--I couldn't quit come to grips with what looked right.

This shows the monkey that is hiding. sort of fuzzy but you get the idea.

I just ordered a quilt pattern called the "Cowgirl's  Closet".   I can't wait to get started on that one.

Skye's Snow Day

I thought I would never get tired of playing the snow---
however with Skye------she could go 24/7!!
This look, she gets from her Aunt Ally.
Ally will even fetch pebbles--so when we taught Skye
to fetch we got "Big Ball"--we only play f
etch with big things she can hardly carry.

Please---take only a small break
 PLEEEEEEEEEEEEASE??
