House Selling--who can figure it out?

Thinking we were going to live in this house until we died, a couple of years ago, we remodeled the kitchen. We got rid of the pink formica countertops and backsplash (yes really!) and put in hard surface counter tops with a neutral glass tile backsplash. The burgundy kitchen carpet (gag yes really) and pale green carpet in the living area that adjoined the kitchen were replaced with oak hardwood. All of our friends who have seen the remodel have really liked it.

Then we put the house on the market. WELL--the first couple said they hated wood floors and only like carpet. THEN they said they preferred formica counter tops because they are cheap and you can change the color scheme whenever you want to ( I DOUBT they had ever changed out counter tops and back splashes or they would never go through that ordeal again).

They felt the eating area was too isolated--which one? this one IN the kitchen or the breakfast bar that is BETWEEN the kitchen and family room?

AND they wanted formals--just NOT like the formals we have.

Then the next couple said the yard was too big (we have a small yard) and another said the yard was too small.

Our house has about the most open floorplan you can imagine and a couple said it wasn't open enough--Jim said they must have wanted a one room house--like a gym.

Then they said one of the two master bedrooms was "ill placed", it is a split floor plan lady, USE THE OTHER ONE!!
Oh well--the whole thing is a complete puzzle--no more trying to analyze it!! It only takes ONE buyer, THANKFULLY!!

Update on Skye

Dear Mom(Kate),Rusti and Jadon,
Thought I would write you a note to let you know how things are going down here in Texas. Not really a bad place--no mountains though.

I get beggin strips after breakfast every morning--if i don't jump on anyone :P
I try not to but --you know. I can open their gate now--thought they wouldn't find out but they did. I can also unzip the door on my kennel--THEY found out about that too.

Love to ride in the top down car--can let the wind blow in my ears without even hanging out of the car. I get to be with kids 3 days a week which is cool--they don't care how much I kiss them or jump on them--although I am still not spose to do that.

Here are my latest pictures--the last one is for Mom.

Love Skye

Ellensburg,Washington

My cousin Rusti emailed me today. She and hubby Jadon, and sister Kaley have been going camping in the mountains on the weekend. They took both of their dogs, Kate and Alley.

On top of the Mt. Stuart Range at the Kittatas County Line in Washington State--my cousins-and Kate--Skye's Mom.

Skye and Rue

Skye got a surprise today, an email and picture of her sister RUE. When I picked up Skye all the puppies looked just alike to me but now they look really different. Rue decided to stay on the ranch with
Rusti, Jadon,
her Mom, Kate
and Aunt Allie.
Rue plans to work
Cattle at the ranch
when she grows up.
Skye is going to be a
a Therapy dog when
She grows up--both

Skye

Skye will be 10 weeks old this Friday. She is up to 10 lbs now and thinks she owns the place. Her favorite outing is when we go to Vintage to do storytime with the kids--but going anywhere in the car will do. We got her a doggie seatbelt so she has to sit in the seat--she loves having the top down of course--so the wind can blow in her ears. Yoda Beth has finally accepted her, but Skye knows to keep a wide margin with the cats.

Yoda even came in and sat in my lap last night--kept a keen eye for the dog of course, but she was okay with Skye being here. Boomer on the the other hand-- is still a little miffed about the whole thing--but he will come around, he is slow to adapt to everything.
